Rugby will be played at the 2016 OLYMPICS, COME AND TRY THE EXCITING NON CONTACT VERSION COCONUT CREEK STARTS FEBRUARY 17.

Grab your calendars, we have confirmed dates and times for the next Coconut Creek Youth Flag Rugby session in 2010!

Practices will be on Wednesday nights. Dates starting-

• February: 2/17 and 2/24
• March: 3/03 and 3/24…We will not meet during FCAT testing and the week of Spring Break
• April: 4/07, 4/14, 4/21 and 4/28

Times: 6-8pm. Location is Sabal Pines Park in Coconut Creek. Cost is $20.00 per player. Players in 2nd through 8th grade.

Hello Everyone, exciting news!

In a continued effort to cultivate Florida Rugby, Fort Lauderdale has decided to incorporate youth rugby divisions(ages 6-14), based off the model set forth by USA rugby’s “Rookie Rugby” program. Miami and Naples are already active with similar ventures, and it is our goal to establish a permanent league and defined season as soon as possible.

We have set a goal for Sat Feb 20th, as our initial practice camp.  From that point we will likely practice twice a week, and run the season approximately 12 weeks.    Games would likely be on Saturday mornings, in accordance with Fort Lauderdale’s schedule, though nothing has been set as of yet.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help both with the initial marketing and the coaching.   Whether your experienced as a coach or just like working with kids any help would be appreciated.   All coaches will have to pass a background check, and familiarize yourself with the “USA Rookie Rugby Program” and guidelines.

This is an excellent opportunity to really make a difference and give back to the sport many of us have played for so long.
